Nidec says investigation found 844 quality-control irregularities

Nidec says an investigation into quality-control practices identified 844 irregularities. The panel conducting the review was established in May, after the motor maker disclosed more than 1,000 suspected cases. The irregularities dated from 2020 to 2025, covering a five-year period. The findings concern the company’s quality-control processes during that period.
