The professional association UPSI-BVS is calling for VAT on new-build properties to be cut from 21% to 12%. According to the sector, the measure would make new-build homes affordable for one in three prospective buyers. Tenants would also benefit. The association wants to show the concrete impact on construction budgets and find out whether political parties support the proposal.
