Former roofer Gunther Boelaert (56) from Vlierzele converted his workshop into the brown pub De Groene Lantaern. With help from his wife, Cindy Cornand (48), he offers pool, darts and beer. On National Café Day, the pub is hosting a big Septemberfest. According to Boelaert, prices are deliberately kept low because the business is in a village.
