Prime Minister Bart De Wever urged Europe to take greater responsibility for protecting its southern border after meeting Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Rome. He called for a credible policy to return migrants who have no right to stay. De Wever also thanked Meloni in Italian for the reception.
