Every story on shortnews.be has three parts, and they have three different owners.
The images on our cards are illustrative. They are chosen to suit the subject of a story — a cycling race, a courtroom, a storm — and they are not photographs of the specific event being reported. They are not press photographs, and they should not be read as evidence of anything.
We do not host, copy or re-serve photographs belonging to the news organisations we summarise.
Where a picture we use requires credit, that credit is given below and, where the app has somewhere to show it, alongside the picture itself.
If you believe something on shortnews.be infringes your rights — an image, a headline, a summary, or anything else — email anmldubey@gmail.com and we will look at it.

We aim to respond within 72 hours. If we agree, or if we are unsure, we take the material down first and discuss it afterwards — we would rather remove a picture we were entitled to use than keep one we were not.
This applies to your own rights and to rights you are authorised to act on. It is not a route for complaints about the accuracy of a story, which belong with the outlet that reported it.
We summarise public RSS feeds, keep the summaries short, name the outlet on every card, and link every story back to the original. If you publish one of the outlets we carry and you would rather we did not, email the address above and we will remove your feed. No argument, no delay.

Outlet names, mastheads and logos belong to their owners. We use them to say where a story came from, which is what they are for, and not to suggest any endorsement of or affiliation with shortnews.be.
