Dante, 16, dies from Belgian-designed drug gaining ground in US

Sixteen-year-old Dante from San Francisco died in April after an overdose of cychlorphine. This synthetic opioid was developed in a Belgian research laboratory in the 1960s and is appearing increasingly often in the illegal drug trade in the United States. Experts estimate that the substance is about ten times more potent than fentanyl.
