No David Bowie or Walter De Buck on Ghent carillon for now: part broken

The automatic music drum of the carillon in Ghent’s Belfry has been out of action for more than a week. A small mechanical part that starts and stops the drum is defective. As a result, melodies by David Bowie and Walter De Buck will not be heard for now. The part is being made to order and is expected to be ready next week.
