Norway plans to exploit Europe's largest rare earth deposit

On Wednesday, the Norwegian government announced plans to put in place, by 2028 at the latest, an exploitation plan for Europe's largest rare earth deposit. The project is intended to regulate development of this strategic resource, but it already faces environmental concerns. Authorities will therefore have to reconcile mining with environmental protection.
