OSCE observers not invited to US elections for first time in 24 years

For the first time in 24 years, the OSCE has not been invited to send election observers to the United States for the upcoming midterms. The organization says the decision departs from an established democratic practice. OSCE Chair Pere Joan Pons criticized it. The US government has not yet publicly explained the choice.
