Belgian man, 40, shot during robbery in Ecuador

A 40-year-old Belgian was shot Saturday morning in Guayaquil during a violent street robbery while on his way to a sporting event. The perpetrators cut him off and then fled in a red car. During the pursuit, they opened fire on a police patrol. After half an hour, police arrested three suspects; one later died of his injuries.
