Man, 60, dies in bedroom fire in Roeselare; wife overcome by smoke

A 60-year-old man died overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday in a fierce fire in his bedroom at a villa on Hoogleedsesteenweg in Roeselare. Firefighters rescued his wife, who had been overcome by smoke. The fire broke out in the home, but the man could not be saved.
