Up to one million myopic children possible in Belgium by 2050

Myopia is increasing worldwide and could become a major health problem. If this international trend continues, around one million children in Belgium could be myopic by 2050. The warning comes from the General Professional Association of Opticians and Optometrists of Belgium (APOOB). The organisation is issuing it during Vision Week, from 3 to 10 October.
