Albanian PM refuses to resign as violent protests continue

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has again refused to resign despite demonstrators’ demands. In the capital, Tirana, violent protests against the government entered their sixth consecutive day. Protesters continue to demand his departure, while Rama remains head of government. The unrest is therefore continuing in Albania’s political centre.
