Dussehra celebrated in Belagavi

Family members of the Patils in Belagavi’s old city marked Dussehra by performing a traditional pooja. The ceremony featured several palanquins carrying revered deities such as Venkatramna, Maruti, Jotiba and the Aapti tree. The observance continued a local religious tradition centred on the Patil families and their ceremonial procession through Belagavi’s old city.
