Cancer took part of Mark Tijsmans’ bowel—and his savings

Actor Mark Tijsmans (57) was diagnosed with bowel cancer in March and subsequently underwent surgery. The disease was detected in time, but during his recovery he had to turn down a lot of work. As a result, he lost income and suffered a financial blow. Tijsmans says the financial problems began as early as 2017 and calls his situation a “small” fiasco.
