Shopkeepers close stores fearing another weekend of chaos in France

France is deploying additional police, troops, special intervention units and armored vehicles nationwide for Saturday’s announced day of protests. Shopkeepers are boarding up their businesses for fear of renewed chaos. Some are calling on friends with baseball bats to guard their stores. The measures follow heavy rioting over the past weekend.
