Ozempic may treat more than diabetes and obesity

Originally developed to treat diabetes, Ozempic is associated with weight loss. Experts now believe that GLP-1-based treatments could also significantly reduce dependence on heroin and fentanyl. Addiction specialist Geert Dom says he prescribes them to patients with both addiction and obesity, seeing two benefits. More studies are needed.
