Sicily shaken by series of earthquakes: strongest reaches magnitude 5.5

At least five earthquakes were recorded near the Italian island of Sicily on Friday afternoon, the strongest reaching magnitude 5.5. Several buildings in Palermo and Messina were evacuated as a precaution after the series of tremors hit the area. So far, there have been no reports of injuries or damage linked to the earthquakes.
