Most Flemings opt for cremation, differences with Brussels and Wallonia

Cremation has exceeded 80% of deaths in Flanders for the first time this year, marking a continued shift in funeral practices. Cemetery visits around All Saints’ Day on 1 November are consequently taking different forms for many families. Burial remains considerably more common in Brussels and Wallonia, highlighting a clear regional divide in Belgium.
