Police found Mario Bergerie, 60, seriously injured on the platform at Waarschoot station in Lievegem on Tuesday morning. According to his brother Peter and sister-in-law Christiane, two 16-year-old boys from an institution had severely assaulted him. A blood trail stretched for 10 metres. Bergerie is in hospital and is still fighting for his life.
