German tourist, 58, killed by lightning on Greek island of Rhodes

A 58-year-old German tourist died on Thursday evening after being struck by lightning while walking along a beach on the Greek island of Rhodes. Another person was killed by the severe weather on Crete. Greece’s weather service warns that heavy rain and thunderstorms will continue in the region at least through Sunday.
