Amazon makes new Kindle e-readers thinner and lighter

Amazon is releasing new versions of the Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Colorsoft. The two cheaper models retain their existing screens, while their casings are thinner and lighter. The refresh therefore focuses mainly on the devices’ size and weight, with no changes to the screens of those entry-level models.
