Tough blow: Jannik Sinner ends season and will lose world No. 1 spot

Suffering from a knee injury, Jannik Sinner announced he would not play again in 2027, bringing his season to an end. The Italian will therefore relinquish the top spot in the ATP rankings. Alexander Zverev is expected to replace him at the summit. This prolonged absence reshapes the hierarchy of men’s professional tennis for next season.
