Hundreds of Belgian birdwatchers count nearly 190,000 migratory birds

Hundreds of Belgian birdwatchers counted 188,654 migratory birds during EuroBirdwatch 2026. The annual event brought nature enthusiasts together in 28 European countries to map migratory birds. The counts support scientific research into migration and help researchers document more accurately the movements of birds during their migration across Europe.
