Political scientist once predicted snap elections in November

Political scientist Bart Maddens (KU Leuven) now considers the prospect of snap elections in November less likely, though he did not rule it out a few months ago. The government must hold together until year-end, while Prime Minister Bart De Wever faces the budget hurdle. Maddens says a collapse remains possible, but would now be too risky.
