Nearly half of Defence investment benefits the Belgian economy

Between 2021 and mid-2026, Defence invested €24 billion. More than €11 billion was awarded to entities based in Belgium, representing nearly half of the spending committed. These investments therefore directly support the Belgian economy through the companies and other domestic partners that receive military contracts.
