Opaline Meunier acquitted of insulting and defaming Laurent Louis

The Hainaut Court of Appeal acquitted Opaline Meunier, an MR member, on Friday. She had been prosecuted for insulting and defaming Laurent Louis, a former federal MP. The ruling ends the legal proceedings. In May 2025, the woman from Mons had received a one-year suspension of the pronouncement of her sentence.
