Voeren and Bilzen-Hoeselt-Riemst police zones unveil merger plans

The Bilzen-Hoeselt-Riemst and Voeren police zones want to merge into a single new police zone. Their police colleges approved a feasibility study that identifies greater scale as the best guarantee for the future. Under the plans, the merger would strengthen expertise and operational capacity. The merged police zone should be operational in both areas on 1 January 2028.
