Water extraction ban lifted in East Flanders, drought remains concerning

Governor Carina Van Cauter has lifted the temporary ban on pumping water from non-navigable waterways and public ditches in three zones of East Flanders. In the remaining zones, the measure remains in force because of the continuing drought. Restrictions have also been eased in several places in West Flanders. The situation continues to be monitored.
