Silence may now be a luxury product

On Silence Day, 25 October, researchers at KU Leuven examine the place of silence in society. Drawing on several disciplines, they question its ethical relevance. Their reflection argues for contemplation as a socially important practice, as well as for a form of silence capable of conveying meaning amid the surrounding noise.
