Parties flood election campaigns with AI deepfakes of opponents

Political parties in Israel, the United States and Spain are spreading AI-generated fake videos about opponents. Israel votes today for a new parliament, US voters go to the polls next week and Spain at the end of November. The often recognizably artificial images are meant to stir emotions, but can also sow doubt about what is real.
