Federal budget reduced to €100: how the state spends your money

Scaling Belgium’s federal budget down to €100 shows that €71 is transferred to other levels of government or spent on debt interest. The government directly controls only €29 for its own policies. Professor Herman Matthijs estimates that, without tax increases, 100,000 additional jobs would be needed to increase revenue.
