“The real motive is money,” says lawyer for civil parties

More than three years after Myriam Lechien was shot dead outside her villa in Ohain, Nicolas Ullens de Schooten is appearing before the Walloon Brabant assize court. The 61-year-old State Security agent is accused of murdering his mother-in-law. A lawyer for the civil parties identifies money as the motive. Proceedings are scheduled to take place in Nivelles over two weeks.
