Belgian junior Seff Van Kerckhove, 18, will miss the cycling world championships in Canada after a training collision. The rider suffered fractures to his vertebrae and must withdraw. Van Kerckhove won bronze in Rwanda last year as a first-year junior and was considered a medal contender this year.
Air traffic controllers at Charleroi Airport have been on strike since Wednesday evening. To try to end the dispute, Skeyes has made a new offer to the strikers. It notably includes pay linked to the future digital control tower. The proposal aims to restart talks on the terms for ending the crisis.
