Alain Remue explains why Julie Van Espen’s bike basket was photoshopped out

In the first episode of season two of the HLN podcast ‘Vermist’, Alain Remue looks back on the search for Julie Van Espen in 2019. The 23-year-old was sought after her bike basket was found next to a rubbish bin outside a sports hall. The basket accelerated the investigation and was therefore removed from the first police appeal concerning the possible perpetrator.
